12 ways to make the most of your event photos and videos afterwards
Practical ideas for getting more from your corporate event photos and videos: LinkedIn, press, sponsors, next year's edition, website and more.

Event photos and videos work much harder after the event than during it. Once the lights go down, you have material that can sell next year’s edition, keep sponsors happy, raise speakers’ profiles, boost team pride and feed your communications for months. The trouble is that the gallery often ends up in a folder and gets used just once.
Here are twelve ideas to stop that happening.
Communications and social media
1. Your company’s LinkedIn
The most obvious use, but it is worth planning. Instead of one post with twenty photos, spread the material across several posts over the following weeks: the day’s highlights, a standout talk, the award winners, the organising team. Each with its own message.
2. LinkedIn for employees, speakers and attendees
Send each speaker their photos on stage and give internal teams a selection they feel good about. When they post them on their own profiles, the event reaches far more people than through the company page alone. Make it easy: a link with photos already selected and some sample copy.
3. Instagram, stories and reels
Vertical clips and reels work better on Instagram and TikTok than any other format. If there was a content creator at the event, that material is already made for those channels. If not, the highlights film can be cut into short pieces.
Press and external relations
4. Press releases and media
A press release with two or three strong high-resolution photos is much more likely to be picked up. Ideally send one of the keynote speaker, one atmosphere shot with the audience and, if there is one, a group photo or the signing of an agreement. A first selection on the day or the day after is key for this.
5. Sponsor reports
Sponsors want to see that their investment was noticed. Put together a visual report with photos of their stand, their logo on stage, their spokesperson on a panel and their audience. It is a very strong argument for renewing the sponsorship next year.
6. Material for partners and speakers
As well as their photos, speakers find a clip of their talk very useful for their website or social media. It is a thoughtful gesture that makes it easier for them to accept your invitation again.
Sales and next year’s edition
7. Selling next year’s edition
Nothing persuades like a packed room. Use the photos and highlights film on the event website, the registration page and ticket sales emails for the next edition. A one-minute video at the top of the registration page explains the event better than any text.
8. Sales proposals and presentations
If your company runs events for clients, the images are proof of what you can do. Include them in sales decks, proposals and case studies. A good photo of the real event beats a stock image.
Internal communications and talent
9. Internal communications
A convention, a kickoff or a company dinner is a team moment. Share a selection on the intranet, the internal newsletter or office screens. People like to see themselves, and it helps those who couldn’t attend feel part of what happened. If you are preparing a convention, this guide covers what to photograph at your company’s annual convention.
10. Employer branding and recruitment
Candidates want to know what it is like to work with you. Photos of the team at a real event, without stiff posing, work very well on the careers page, LinkedIn job posts and recruitment fairs. They convey company culture in a credible way.
Website and corporate documents
11. Company website
Replace stock images on your website with your own photos: the About us page, the events page, blog posts or news. Real photos build more trust and set your website apart from competitors’.
12. Annual report and other publications
The annual report, the sustainability report or the company brochure need images that tell the story of the year. A good event usually provides several of the best. Make sure you have high-resolution files for print.
How to prepare before the event
For all of this to be possible, you need to think about it beforehand, not afterwards:
- Make a list of uses and share it with the agency. If you need photos for a specific sponsor or vertical clips, that has to be known in advance.
- Ask for a quick selection if you have press or social media on the day.
- Add video if you are going to sell next year’s edition: a highlights film and a few short clips keep working for months. Our team includes photographers, videographers and content creators, coordinated by the agency.
- Clarify the usage licence, especially if the images might end up in paid advertising.
- Ask for the gallery sorted by event moments and in two formats: high resolution and web.

To sum up
An event lasts a day, but its images can work for you all year. The key is to think about how you will use them from the start and to ask for the material in the right format for each use.
